So I am sitting here waiting for the nice lady's parents to come up from Chicago. In order to kill some time, I am watching the movie "Rookie of the Year." Laugh all you want, but if a baseball movie is on, I am compelled to watch it, however crappy it may be. Anyway, the main character is shown striking out Bary Bonds. He looked something like this. Compare that to what he looks like now. For a better comparison, look at this.




Come on now Barry, what is the deal with the stringbean-esque legs on the left, to the tree trunk-esque legs on the right? It is too bad that the greatest record in all of sport is going to go to the above. I am not saying that it is not meant to be broken, but by this guy? If the Jr. Griffey was healthy his whole career, the record would be his. A much better player as well as person. I am not discounting the Bondster's hitting prowess, or strike zone recognition at all. Not to mention the fact that he is the sole member of the 500 dinger, 500 stolen base club. Just that this cheater has and will win. What did your dad always tell you? Cheaters never win. Too bad that it does not apply to a$$hole baseball stars the Bondserino. At least Jose Canseco owned the fact that he was juicing.
