This just in in the MJS.....
Three Waukesha boys will be referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney's office on suspicion they committed about $70,000 in damage to forklift trucks that were driven like amusement bumper cars twice earlier this month, police Lt. William H. Graham said today.
The first incident happened the evening of July 5 when an employee of M&W Industrial Equipment arrived at the site, 1610 Pearl St., and found three boys driving the forklifts. He chased them off, a police report says.
Police were notified the next day after M&W officials assessed the damage, which included forks of the forklifts being driven into the body and through the windows of a parked car on the firm's lot, Graham said.
About 16 forklifts were damaged during that episode at the firm's east side location, the report says.
On July 15, police spotted three boys driving the equipment. They fled a short distance before being taken into police custody, Graham said. All of the boys, ages 14, 13 and 11, are in the custody of their parents.
